More than 600 fans braved stormy early winter weather to support key mental health initiatives and take in some intense Lakers hockey action for Break the Ice on Mental Health.

Congratulations to alumna, Courtney Maika ((BA’12 in geography and history, BEd’14, and MA’14 in history) who has had a poem, Mapless, published in the December issue of the Literary Review of Canada.

Dr. Mike DeGagné has been reappointed as President and Vice-Chancellor of Nipissing University. DeGagné was reappointed as Nipissing’s president in a special meeting of the university’s Board of Governors on December 7 following the recommendation of the Reappointment Committee for the President and Vice-Chancellor. He will begin his second consecutive five-year term on January 1, 2018.
