Job Description:
We are seeking candidates who have education in CYW (Child and Youth) or SSW (Social Services) and have experience with youth who have complex needs including fetal alcohol spectrum disorder, developmental challenges, mental illness, ASD, substance use and significant trauma related experiences. We are looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to develop strong relationships with youth living in foster care. As a support worker, you will work with the youth on learning and life skills, to participate in their communities including school and recreational activities, and to implement goals outlined in their treatment plan.
Required Qualifications:
First Aid/CPR, valid G license, use of a vehicle and a negative vulnerable sector screening are required. Child welfare check and 3 references are required prior to employment. Post-Secondary education in the social services field required
