Near North Voices was established in 2007 as an advanced choir on the Nipissing University Campus. Membership is open to students, faculty and staff at Nipissing University and Canadore College, as well as to members of the North Bay community. High school students are welcome, and Near North Voices offers Student Choral Scholarships for qualified students.

Multi-Site Joint Health and Safety Committee

A joint health and safety committee (JHSC) is composed of worker and employer representatives. Together, they should be mutually committed to improving health and safety conditions in the workplace. Nipissing University has a multi-site joint health and safety committee (MSJHSC) spanning multiple buildings and areas, which is supported by several functional joint health and safety committees (FJHSC).
