Spencer West, the man who recently climbed Mount Kilimanjaro after having both his legs amputated at age five, is giving an inspirational talk at Brantford’s Sanderson Centre (88 Dalhousie Street) on November 29, from 1:30 – 3 p.m. The presentation is part of Nipissing University’s celebrations for a decade of education in Brantford.

Nipissing University's Education Abroad Coordinator, Melissa Toupin Laforge, has been selected as a Rotary Peace Fellow in Tokyo, Japan.

Clara Hughes, six-time summer and winter Olympic medallist, is speaking at the Capitol Centre about mental health and her own recovery, on May 23, at 7 p.m. Hughes will be sharing her past struggles with depression in an effort to help break down the stigma associated with mental illness.
