With marijuana legalization seemingly on the near horizon in Canada, the physical, long-term effects of cannabis on adolescents is of increasing concern to many Canadians. Dr. Andrew Weeks, associate professor of psychology at Nipissing University, will be giving a special lecture on how chronic cannabis use in adolescence could affect the developing brain.

Today, we are pleased to profile Megan Hives, a Concurrent Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Education, Geography student and Dave Marshall Leadership Award winner in the community category.

Congratulations to Harrison Hoffman, a third-year Business student, on earning the McDonald’s Employee Scholarship Award for making a difference at work, at school and in the community.  He has received $500 toward tuition and books.
