The Nipissing Lakers Men’s Basketball program raised $2,276.65 in their Take the Charge against Prostate Cancer campaign that concluded Saturday night with a cheque presentation to Susan Plamondon, Fundraising Coordinator for the Canadian Cancer Society, and Dr. Mike Leckie, Special Guest and Prostate Cancer Survivor.

Congratulations to Dr. Susan Elliott-Johns, associate professor in the Schulich School of Education, on the publication of her new book, Leadership for Change in Teacher Education: Voices of Canadian Deans of Education (Sense Publishers).

Nipissing University is establishing a Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Committee to create relevant policies and procedures addressing sexual violence within the Nipissing University community, develop prevention strategies and initiatives for education and training for students, faculty and staff, and to better respond to instances of sexual violence on campus.
