Seminar discussing fisheries management

Nipissing University’s Masters of Environmental Studies/Masters of Environmental Sciences Seminar Series gets rolling today, January 31, with a special lecture from Dr. James Abbott, assistant professor of geography, titled Human and Environmental Dimensions of Managing An Artisanal Fishery in Gabon, Central Africa.

Dr. Abbot will discuss current efforts to manage the fisheries of Lac Onangué, a floodplain lake in Gabon, based on two months of research conducted in 2017.

The lecture takes place at 1 p.m. in room H112.
