Learn more about treaties during Treaties Recognition Week

As part of Treaties Recognition Week, Nipissing University and the Anishnabek Nation invite you to attend an information session to learn more about treaties and the treaty relationships that affect First Nations. The session will take place on November 5 at 9 a.m. in the Harris Learning Library Thomson Reading Room.

Special guests will include Nipissing First Nation Chief Scott McLeod, Maurice Switzer and Kelly Crawford.

Celebrated the first week of November each year, Treaties Recognition Week was introduced in 2016 to honour the importance of treaties and to help Ontarians learn more about treaty rights and treaty relationships.  This year, Treaties Recognition Week takes place November 5-9.
