NU opening doors to new students

The word is out that Nipissing is a university of choice and a leading institution in student life, residences, student services, safety and student satisfaction. Hundreds of prospective students will have the chance to find out first-hand why Nipissing is their best choice this weekend during the annual Fall Open House, October 28 from 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Open House welcomes students and their supporters to campus to meet with current students, faculty and staff, tour the campus, and start making connections with future classmates and friends. They’ll have the opportunity to ask questions about academic programs, student life, admissions, finances, residence and anything else university related.

Guests will visit the state-of-the-art laboratory and classroom space, discover some of the groundbreaking research that Nipissing’s faculty are engaged in, and have a tour of the award-winning library and the top-ranked residences.

“Open House is always a fun and busy weekend.  We are excited to showcase our amazing campus to prospective students, it’s often a factor in their decision to attend.  Personally, attending the Fall Open House when I was in high school made me want to come here and be a part of the Nipissing community,” said Valerie Edmunds, manager of student recruitment. “We’ve made some great connections with students in their high schools and at the Ontario Universities Fair this fall, and we can’t wait to have them on campus to explore and discover the unique opportunities that exist here.”

Nipissing expects around 250 students and more than 600 individuals to attend Open House. Registration remains open; just click here to register, or email nuinfo@nipissingu.ca for more information.

Students interested in learning more about the university are welcome to attend without registering in advance.
