Dr. Murton-Stoehr discuses Robinson Huron Treaty trial

Dr. Catherine Murton-Stoehr, of Nipissing’s History department, recently contributed an article with Randy Restoule to Anishinabek News regarding the current lawsuit brought against Ontario and Canada by 21 Nations in the Robinson Huron Treaty region.

The article discusses the history of the Treaty and the unusual “escalator clause” it contains, which is the foundation for the lawsuit.
