Nipissing partnership with Niagara College offers students opportunity

Students at Niagara College now have the opportunity to complete a business degree from Nipissing University without leaving the College’s picturesque Niagara-on-the-Lake campus. Thanks to a new partnership between the two institutions, Niagara College business administration graduates have the option to earn a Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) or Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from Nipissing University while studying at Niagara College. Nipissing is now accepting applications to the program through the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre.

We are delighted to bring this innovative program to Niagara College,” said Dr. Rick Vanderlee, Dean, Faculty of Applied and Professional Studies at Nipissing University. “This program has seen much success in other regions as it provides a flexible option for college graduates to complete their degree without having to relocate.”

Students may elect to study on a full or part-time basis. Through full-time study, students can complete the BComm in as little as 12 months or the BBA in as little as 16 months. Classes are offered in a variety of formats including traditional on-campus lectures as well as online and blended delivery.

“This new partnership will offer our graduates a convenient and flexible pathway to further their education and career goals,” said Vivian Kinnaird, Dean of Business, Hospitality and Environment at Niagara College. “We’re looking forward to the launch of the program this September here in Niagara.”

Students in the program will benefit from small class sizes, flexible class schedules as well as the ability to satisfy the degree requirement for the Chartered Professional Accountant and Certified Human Resources Professional designations.
