Important work on understanding our watershed

Given the importance of the watershed to this region, impacting everything from health and culture to recreation and the local economy, it’s no surprise that Nipissing's Integrative Watershed Research Centre is a busy place with lots of interesting information to share.The centre aims to promote and support integrative research on watersheds and related environmental issues in our region of northeastern Ontario and beyond.

Research assistant, David Duval reports on the work he is doing with Dr. Mark Wachowiak on various web-based data visualizations for the high frequency weather and water conditions data collected on Lake Nipissing by the Bays Projects.
Recent BSc Environment and Physical Geography graduate Jasmine Taulu worked as a research assistant last summer. She reports on the site about her work with Dr. April James, Canada Research Chair in Watershed Analysis and Modeling, setting up and running a pilot water isotope survey of the French River Water (see linkhere).
