Nipissing University recently hosted Northern Ontario's first-ever Lego League showcase,  bringing together five teams of young Lego fanatics, members of Team 1305, the Near North Student Robotics Initiative (NNSRI), to put their creations, built with everyone’s favourite building blocks, on display.

Nipissing University recently welcomed guest speaker Dr. Katy Arnett from the Faculty of Education at St Mary’s College in Maryland. Dr. Arnett gave a presentation to Nipissing’s French as a second language students, Near North District School board teachers and Nipissing Parry Sound Catholic School Board teachers.

Tom Hedican, the man behind the highly successful Coach4Food program and a professional goaltending consultant, spoke to students at Nipissing University last week about his coaching expertise, his inspiration for Coach4Food and importance of helping those in need.
