With the Nipissing Lakers on the outside of the playoff picture at the moment, head coach Mike McParland isn’t going to sit back and play the waiting game. Throughout the first half of the season, McParland has been diligently working at improving his roster, and the team debuted some new faces Sunday night in their first game of 2014.

Walking With Our Sisters is a travelling art installation that honours Canada's missing and murdered Aboriginal women and girls. In Canada, it is estimated that more than 600 Indigenous women and girls have gone missing or have been murdered in the last 20 years.
