Once a youth with Crown Ward status turns 18, he or she becomes independent and is no longer under the care of the Children’s Aid Society (CAS).  Without family support this transition is difficult and the option of attending postsecondary is daunting and often unattainable.

Congratulations to Amanda Burk, associate professor of Fine Arts, who recently had her work, Hushed Renewal, accepted into the 35th Bradley International Print and Drawing Exhibition in Illinois. Burk’s work has also been chosen for publication inPocketful Illustration Magazine.

It was another playoff appearance for the Nipissing Lakers men’s hockey team – their sixth straight – and it was thanks to a balanced attack.
