Interprofessional education activity on campus to include over 300 students

Over 300 students from nine health and human service programs at Canadore College from the School of Health, Human Care, and Wellness including the Nipissing/Canadore Collaborative BScN program will convene to participate in a large, collaborative, interprofessional education (IPE) activity on February 6, in the Shared Gym.The event will build on foundational knowledge regarding Interprofessional Collaboration (IPC) that all students have acquired in their respective programs. Working together on a case study through a series of videos and small group discussions, the students will collaboratively analyze and discuss IPC competencies from the National Interprofessional Competency Framework (NICF). Students will learn with, from, and about each other, while identifying skills, attitudes and behaviours that will support interprofessional client centered collaborative practice.
