Grad delivering research seminar

Nipissing’s Computer Science and Mathematics department is pleased to welcome recent graduate, Bradley Lalonde to deliver a research seminar this Friday, January 29, at 10 a.m. in room A223.Bases in the Product of Homogeneous Metric ANR Continua. The project was funded by a Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada Undergraduate Summer Research Award. The details of the talk are below.
Abstract: In this talk, we prove that any point of a product of two homogeneous metric ANR continua has a Euclidean cube-like base (having certain cohomological properties). The talk is based off summer research conducted with Dr. Valov, who proved the result for any homogeneous metric ANR continua.
