Nipissing University invites applications for existing part-time course vacancies in the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 courses in the School of Social work. All course descriptions can be found here: Course Descriptions - Social Work (SWRK).

Qualifications:

  • A PhD in Social Work or a Masters’s degree in Social Work (MSW) is required.
  • Relevant teaching experience at the post-secondary undergraduate level.
  • Registered (or eligible to register) with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
  • A minimum of 2 years practice experience in the field of Social Work or related field.

Duties:

  • Responsible for all instruction and evaluation for the portion of the course to which they are assigned
  • Will be available to meet with students outside of the official classroom time
  • Complete mandatory training requirements, review and follow Nipissing University's policies and procedures

Courses Available: 

Fall Term: September 8, 2026, to December 9. 2026
Hours: Total of 36 instructional hours over a 12-week term

Preferred schedule: Mondays 9:00AM to 11:50AM and 1:00pm to 3:00pm

SWRK-4716-Social Work Leadership
Preferred schedule: Thursdays 9:00AM to 11:50AM

SWRK-4746-Social Work, Health & Well-Being
Preferred schedule: Fridays 12:00PM to 2:50PM

Fall/Winter Term: September 8, 2026, to April 13, 2027
Hours: Total of 10 hours of seminar instruction and supervision of students   

SWRK-4605 Field Practicum II  

Winter Term: January 11, 2027, to April 13, 2027
Hours: Total of 36 instructional hours over a 12-week term
