Vezina Bursary
Presented annually to a student in the Bachelor of Arts Criminal Justice program. The recipient must demonstrate financial need, have a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude towards their studies. Students are required to submit a short paragraph outlining why they feel they are deserving of the award, with specific reference to their strong work ethic and positive attitude, and how this award will support their academic pursuits.

The Dr. Ilse Mueller Memorial Scholarship in Ancient Studies
The Ilse Mueller Scholarship will be awarded to two full-time students with a major in Classical Studies, at Nipissing, with the highest overall average, (minimum of 80%). Additionally, the recipients must meet at least one of the following criteria: the student is enrolled in CLAS 3415 - Fieldwork in Classical Archaeology and is attending the Balkan Heritage Field School; or the student is enrolled in, or otherwise conducting work relevant to, the Certificate in Digital Classics at Nipissing University.

Joseph and Laura McMeekin Memorial Award
Established in memory of Joseph L. McMeekin, and his loving wife Laura McMeekin. Joseph was a nature enthusiast and a kind hearted gentleman who gave generously of his time to service groups that had an impact on children. The award is presented to a student who shows commitment and dedication to volunteerism and community service. The recipient must be enrolled in Geography or an Environmental program. The recipient must also be a resident of Ontario and demonstrate financial need.

Ron Marleau Memorial Award
Established to honour the life Ron Marleau, this award recognizes his leadership and dedication to advocating for others. The award is presented to a full-time upper-year student, with preference to a student majoring in Gender Equality and Social Justice. The recipient must have a strong academic record and have made contributions to improve and promote employment equity, human rights, social justice, diversity, or accessibility at the University or in the community.

Nipissing University Alumni Advisory Board Bachelor of Science Award
Awarded to a second, third or fourth year full-time student maintaining a minimum 70% average, majoring in Environmental Biology and Technology, Environment and Physical Geography or Biology. The recipient must also demonstrate financial need.

Lindsay Margaret Wilson Memorial Award
Established in memory of Lindsay Margaret Wilson, a graduate of Nipissing University who had dedicated her life to the community support and advocacy of people with special needs or disabilities. The award is given to a full-time student, with preference to a student enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts program majoring in Child and Family Studies or the Bachelor of Social Work program. The recipient should demonstrate a commitment to and knowledge of advocacy for community integration of children, youth and/or adults with special needs acquired through employment, education and/or volunteer work. Preference is also given to college transfer and mature students.

Osprey Award
Presented to a full-time student majoring in the Bachelor of Fine Art Program with a strong academic record and demonstrated financial need. Students must be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP.

Awarded to assist in the education of an upper year student in the Bachelor of Fine Arts program and to stimulate the development of future professional artists. The recipient must demonstrate financial need and be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP.

Stan Michael Lawlor Memorial Award in History
Established to honour the life of Stan Michael Lawlor, this award recognizes his dedication and desire to encourage and promote History studies at the graduate level. It is presented to a deserving, graduating student in History at Nipissing University who plans to pursue graduate History studies in the following year, either through Npissing University or elsewhere. The recipient must demonstrate enthusiasm for history through his/her undergraduate studies at Nipissing University, both inside and outside the classroom. The recipient must also demonstrate financial need and be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP. Students are nominated by their department.

Dr. David Hall Memorial Award
Established to honour the life of Nipissing University professor, Dr. David Hall, and recognizes his dedication and passion in Sociology. The award is presented to a full-time student majoring in Sociology at Nipissing University. The recipient demonstrates leadership qualities and an enthusiasm for the program, both inside and outside the classroom. The recipient must demonstrate financial need and be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP.
