Nipissing University student, Shandon Ashitei, is one of just 10 students from across the country to receive the prestigious 2022 3M National Student Fellowship in recognition of his outstanding leadership. A well-respected leader, known for his excellence in the classroom, on campus and in the community, Ashitei is the first student from Nipissing University to receive the Fellowship. 

Nipissing University and the City of North Bay are represented in a recently published global study that used a widely distributed plant species as a model to examine the effect of urbanization on evolutionary processes.

Today, Nipissing University celebrated the contributions of 25 outstanding student leaders at its annual Dave Marshall Leadership Awards ceremony.
