The Nipissing Lakers men’s basketball team has landed in Spain and is already getting down to work, hitting the court for practice and hitting the city for some culture and team building.

Nipissing University is building a turf field to provide enhanced facilities for students and community members to learn, compete, exercise and cheer.“

The Lakers men’s hockey team is proud to announce that the eighth annual celebration of Canada's armed forces, Military Appreciation Night, is scheduled for November 18 at 7:15 p.m. at Memorial Gardens with the Lakers taking on the RMC Paladins.

Varsity rowing has arrived at Nipissing University. Perhaps the most iconic of all university sports, rowing conjures images of Ivy-league crews and historic Oxford versus Cambridge races. Now with varsity status, Nipissing’s rowing team takes its place among the traditional university powers in the sport, provincially and nationally.

Less than a month after finding out Lakers head coach Toivo Koivukoski will lead Team Canada into the World Universiade Games for 2017 in Almaty, Kazakhstan, the news broke that two Lakers student-athletes will be joining him.
