This one-day event will be attended by approximately 40 to 45 participants including university researchers, graduate students, post-doctoral candidates and local leaders in health and mental health care. -

Then & Now: Tegan McWhirter, Master of Environmental Science Graduate (2021)
GeneralResearchEnvironmental Sciences/StudiesAlumniGrowing up in Northern Ontario, Tegan McWhirter developed a passion for the outdoors. While pursuing her Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Environmental Science at Queen’s University, Tegan worked for the Aviation, Forest Fire and Emergency Services (AFFES) division of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry as a Wildland Fire Fighter on the Type I (initial attack) crew. -
Hands and NU earn grant aimed at youth mental health and addiction

Then & Now: Megan Odd, BA Criminal Justice (’20), MA Sociology (’22)
GeneralResearchAlumniCriminal JusticeSociology and AnthropologyMegan Odd graduated from Nipissing University with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice in 2020 and a Master of Arts in Sociology (MA Sociology) in 2022. During her time at Nipissing, Megan was actively engaged in her research and community as both an undergraduate and graduate student.
NU360 Speaker Night highlights faculty research at Nipissing
Students, faculty, and community members packed the NUSU Student Centre on March 4 for the annual NU360 Speaker Night. Six faculty presenters each had 360 seconds to showcase their research, offering a glimpse into the breadth and depth of research at Nipissing.
