A contingent from Nipissing’s Nordic Varsity Ski team spent the last half of their holiday break in Thunder Bay, competing in their first races of the season. A trio of Lakers put in personal best results against the strongest Nordic racers in the country at the Lappe Ski Center with qualifications for the upcoming World Championships, U23 and World Junior Championships in Liberec, Czech Republic, on the line.

The Nipissing University Lakers volleyball squads both recorded victories in weekend action against the Mohawk Mountaineers.

Nipissing University soccer player Valaine Confessor is participating in the Philippine Football Federations (PFF) Philippine Women’s National Team training camp, held November 14 – 21 at Titan Stadium on the Cal State Fullerton campus in Fullerton, California.

The Lakers men’s volleyball team is the king of the proverbial castle, reaching number one in the Canadian College Athletic Association (CCAA) national rankings.

The Nipissing Lakers men’s hockey team went one and one on the weekend, rebounding after a tough loss to the Western Mustangs, with a win against the Queen’s Gaels.
