Convocation June 7 - 9, 2017

The gowns are ironed, and the hoods folded, the Surtees Centre is polished and ready to go, and speeches are getting final tweaks. Graduates are ready to celebrate. Convocation is here.

Nipissing will hold five convocation ceremonies in North Bay, June 7 – 9, and one in Brantford on June 6.

Here is the schedule:

Tuesday, June 6, at 2:30 p.m.: Brantford Schulich School of Education (MEd, BEd Laurier-Nipissing Education Program)

Wednesday, June 7 at 2 p.m.: Faculty of Arts and Science

Thursday, June 8, at 9:30 a.m.: Faculty of Applied and Professional Studies (BBA, BComm, BA in Child and Family Studies, Social Welfare and Social Development, and Criminal Justice)

Thursday, June 8, at 2 p.m.: Faculty of Applied and Professional Studies (BSc in Nursing)

Friday, June 9, at 9:30 a.m.: Schulich School of Education (PhD, MEd, Advanced Degree in Education, Advanced Degree in Educational Leadership, BEd, Native Classroom Assistant Diploma Program, Aboriginal Teacher Certification Program, Teacher of Anishnaabemwin as a Second Language Program)

Friday, June 9, at 2 p.m.: Schulich School of Education (Concurrent Education, Bachelor of Physical and Health Education)

Each convocation ceremony, including the honorary degree speeches, will be streamed live at: www.nipissingu.ca/convocation

Brantford convocation ceremonies will be held in the Sanderson Centre. North Bay convocation ceremonies will be held in the air-conditioned Robert J. Surtees Student Athletics Centre.

There will be 1,379 students eligible to graduate from Nipissing University this June, including 150 in Brantford, 216 from the Faculty of Arts and Science, 316 from the Faculty of Applied and Professional Schools’ morning ceremony, 231 from the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program; 249 from the Schulich School of Education’s morning ceremony, and 217 from the Schulich School of Education’s afternoon ceremony.
