Trio of events from FAVA students

Nipissing’s Fine Arts Visual Arts students are holding three big events in the coming days: final thesis presentations and critiques, an on-campus art show, and the BFA Graduate Exhibit.

This Friday, March 28, marks the final thesis presentations and critiques for the Department of Fine Arts and Visual Arts (FAVA) students who are completing their Bachelor of Fine Arts this year. Thirteen students will present on their thesis research and studio practice from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at Monastery Hall. A panel of FAVA faculty will critique the work.

Everyone is welcome to attend.

On Saturday March 29, the atrium of the Harris Learning Library will feature a FAVA student art show titled, Flash Art, organized by the North Bay Art Student Collective. Work from years 1 through 4 will be on display between 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and students will be available to answer any questions.
Coming up next week, the BFA Graduate Exhibition is happening April 5 - April 17, at the WKP Kennedy Gallery. The opening reception will be held Saturday April 5 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

This exhibition showcases 13 talented students exhibiting selections from their thesis work. This year the exhibition will feature artwork from a range of disciplines including drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpture. Exhibiting artists include: Nicole Arseneault, Ashlea Black, Ethan Dyk, Jennifer Gagnon, Mae Griffiths, Kayla Liberty, Geoffrey Mayne, Stéphanie McKnight, Rebecca Monk, Janique Perrier, Lindsay Rett, Ashley Snook, and Natalie Vallee.

Fine Arts/Performing Arts
