Living proof - An exhibition of Fine Art prints

The Department of Fine Arts’ Advanced Printmaking class is pleased to announce an upcoming exhibition, Living Proof: An Exhibition of Fine Art Prints, will open with a reception on Saturday, March 9, from 2 – 4 p.m. at the Alex Dufresne Gallery (107 Landsdowne St. E.) in Callander.

The exhibition will be open to the public from March 9 – April 20, during the gallery’s regular hours of operation: Thurs – Sat, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Living Proof features the work of Nipissing printmakers. Works in intaglio, relief, lithography, screenprinting and multidisciplinary practices are featured in a variety of ways, including more traditional, two-dimensional wall work and non-traditional printstallations. This collaborative exhibition, comprised of prints from Nipissing University students, alumni and residents of the Nipissing area, is designed to foster a sense of community among local printmakers and showcase the vitality and diversity of printmaking as a contemporary practice.

The opening reception also features a live printmaking event where visitors can participate in screenprinting and button making.

The opening reception is free of charge and all are welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be served.
