Established to honour the life of Kenneth Donaldson. Ken was a loving step father to Nipissing Alumni, Lea Cruickshank, who graduated from the Bachelor of Education program in 2021. This award recognizes Ken’s passion for sports and his love of hockey. The award is presented to a full-time male or female student in the Bachelor of Education program. The recipient must also demonstrate academic achievement. Preference will be given to a student who currently plays

Established by the Kessler family to commemorate Shayla Kessler’s legacy as a Laker. The Kessler Family Legacy Scholarship is presented to a female varsity athlete who plays on the Nipissing Women’s Volleyball team. The recipient must be enrolled in the Concurrent or Consecutive Bachelor of Education program with a minimum 80% average. Selected by the Athletic Awards Committee and the Financial Aid & Student Awards Office
The Jane Palmer Award in Education
Established to honour the life of Jane Palmer, teacher for 36 years, several within a multicultural school, in recognition of her dedication and passion for teaching. The award is presented to a 1st or 2nd year Bachelor of Education student in the Primary/Junior division as Nipissing University. The recipient myst demonstrate financial need and academic excellence. Preference will be given to a student who is from the Manitoulin area, is creative, with some musical background
CFUWNB Faculty of Education and Professional Studies – School of Education Scholarship
Awarded to a North Bay and Area female student who demonstrates academic proficiency, and who is continuing full time studies in a program within the Schulich School of Education at Nipissing. The recipient exhibits excellent leadership skills, with preference going to a student who also demonstrates a strong work ethic and excellent teaching practices with children.
