Earlier today, Nipissing University announced a transformational $5M investment to support the continued development and national expansion of Rare Dementia Support Canada (RDS Canada). This gift will support the expansion of dementia research, support services, and education, as well as help establish a dedicated space to house RDS Canada - a centre committed to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by rare and young-onset dementias.

For Nipissing alumni and siblings Margarida Shail and Paulo Carvalho, running has always been a part of their lives; a way to challenge themselves, stay connected, and push personal limits. But in 2024, their passion for the sport led to something even bigger: a Guinness World Record.

On March 19, Business student Kyle Labron and Interim Dean of the Faculty of Education and Professional Studies, Dr. Graydon Raymer, shared roles for a day. The initiative gave Kyle a rare behind-the-scenes look at university operations while offering Dr. Raymer an opportunity to gain a student perspective on academic experiences and challenges.
