Students returning to campus

It’s that time of year again; students are returning to campus, for the start of another academic year.

Residence will be rocking on move in day Sunday, August 30, with students unloading all their goods, friends getting reacquainted and future best friends meeting for the very first time.

On Monday, August 31, students in the Schulich School of Education’s Consecutive Bachelor of Education program, begin a week of orientation and classes.  This is followed in short order by Frosh Week and the start of the fall term for students in the Faculty of Applied and Professional Studies, and the Faculty of Arts and Science.

NUSU’s Frosh Week launches on Tuesday, September 1.  This year’s theme is Frosh Wars Through the Ages.  Nipissing University Student Union has added social and educational modules to create a more balanced week for the new students. There will be educational and social modules taking place including financial literacy, sexual violence and assault prevention.

After an exhausting week of incredibly fun team-building events like The Amazing Race, Inflatable Games, and the Muddy Olympics, students will head out to shine the city on Saturday, September 5, for the annual cystic fibrosis fundraiser, Shinerama. Look for Nipissing students out shinning that day, and please give generously.

Tuesday, September 8, heralds the start of classes for students in the Faculty of Applied and Professional Studies and the Faculty of Arts and Science.
