Congratulations to Lynn de Caro, part-time instructor of Child Health and Family Studies at Nipissing University’s Muskoka Campus, for earningYWCA Muskoka’s Women of Distinction award for Community Development and Social Activism.

YWCA Women of Distinction Awards are presented to women who are inspirations to others, have made a commitment to their community as a leaders and role-models and are catalysts for change. They break new ground and old barriers, show vision, creativity and initiative and have improved the lives of those in Muskoka.

Women of Distinction Awards are recognized nationally as one of Canada’s most prestigious awards for women.
“We are proud of Lynn for earning the Women of Distinction award for Community Development and Social Activism,” said Dr. Rick Vanderlee, Dean and Professor for the Faculty of Applied and Professional Studies. “Lynn is an excellent role model for our students because of the active community service  role she plays in Bracebridge.
