Nipissing University’s president, Dr. Mike DeGagné is being honoured with a prestigious Paul Harris Fellowship Award by the Rotary Club of Nipissing for his outstanding contribution to community."The Rotary Club of Nipissing is pleased to honour Dr. Mike DeGagne with the Paul Harris Fellowship," said Julie Perry, President of the Rotary Club of Nipissing. "His leadership as Nipissing's president and the important role that the university plays in our community, cannot be understated. Dr. DeGagné consistently displays a strong belief in service above self, making him an ideal candidate for this award." The Paul Harris Fellowship Award is one of the highest honours Rotary gives. Recipients are Rotarians and community professionals who are honoured for outstanding contributions to our community and beyond, exemplifying the highest ideal in Rotary placing “service above self”. The award will be presented at the annual Rotary Foundation Dinner on Friday, November 7, at the Best Western in North Bay.
