Special seminar on sports nutrition

Sport North Bay, in conjunction with Nipissing University and the Schulich School of Education presents a special seminar with leading sport nutritionist, Jennifer Sygo, on Wednesday, September 19 at 7 p.m. in the Nipissing University Theatre (F213). Her presentation is titled, Fuel for Sport: Top Nutrition Tips For Athletes.

The seminar is free of charge and all are welcome.

Sygo, a registered dietitian, serves as the director of nutrition for Cleveland Clinic Canada. She has provided nutrition counselling for several Olympic medallists and she is regularly featured in the media, including Canada AM, Global News, The Toronto Star and City TV News. In addition, her weekly nutrition column appears in the Arts and Life section of the National Post every Tuesday. Under her supervision, clients learn to integrate a nutritional component to their lifestyle management or wellness program.She has a special interest in helping those with nutritional needs as they relate to disease, weight management and sports performance. Sygo is an official provider of nutrition services for the Canadian Sport Centre Ontario (CSCO), and the Coaching Association of Canada's Sport Nutrition Advisory Council (SNAC); she also serves as the co-chair of the Dietitians of Canada and Consulting Dietitians Network.
