RE4MUL8 project supporting math teaching

Nipissing is pleased to introduce the RE4MUL8 project, created as an interactive resource for teachers of mathematics. Funded by Nipissing University and a Schulich STEM Initiatives grant, the project features videos of board-nominated teachers and mathematics coordinators from six District School Boards in Ontario facilitating and reflecting on key Grade 7 and 8 mathematics lessons and topics. It also provides links to existing resources and mobile options.

The project was created by Schulich School of Education professor Dr. Daniel Jarvis, who worked closely with Learning Systems Technologist, Kyle Charron, from the Centre for Flexible Teaching and Learning.

Adopting the slogan "Teachers of Math Ready for Change," Jarvis is hopeful that the project will support math coordinators and Grade 7 and 8 teachers of mathematics as they continue to adopt reform-based practices in Ontario schools and beyond.
