Chippewa students earn Nipissing Business Challenge title

Last Friday, approximately 25 area high school business students were on Nipissing’s North Bay campus vying for the Nipissing Business Challenge title and associated bragging rights.

In the end, a trio from Chippewa Intermediate and Secondary School comprised of Jackson Beam, Kristen Gough and Lucas Thorne earned the coveted cup after impressing the judges with their strategic presentation.

This year’s case challenged students to develop a framework and promotional plan for an international business camp scheduled to take place in North Bay this summer. Students from Chippewa, West Ferris and Widdifield presented their ideas to a panel of judges made up of School of Business faculty and students.

Each member of the winning team will receive $500 in non-transferable tuition credits to Nipissing University to help them continue their business education locally.
