Using LockDown Browser & Respondus Monitor

In this foundational information session, Samantha Fraser will walk you through how to enable and configure Lockdown Browser and Respondus Monitor for an assessment within Blackboard Ultra. Partcipants will learn what Respondus is, what its limitations are, how to configure its settings, how to review class results, how to interpret flags, and where to find additional resources. This session is ideal for those who have never used Respondus before, or for those who would like a refresher on the software.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

• Describe the purpose and key features of Lockdown Browser and Respondus Monitor in Blackboard Ultra.
• Identify when to use Respondus Monitor, identify limitations and considerations.
• Enable and configure Respondus settings including customizing and other options for your online assessments.
• Review and interpret class results, Respondus Monitor flags, and make notes within the class results menu.
• Locate additional resources and support materials for Respondus.
