The following information pertains to current Ontario high school applicants (regardless of status in Canada) and domestic (Canadian Citizen and Permanent Resident) high school, transfer, and graduate studies applicants.
International applicants (excluding current Ontario high school applicants) who are studying in Canada on a study permit or studying in another country with no status in Canada should contact the International Admissions and Recruitment Office at internationaladmiss@nipissingu.ca for information on decision timelines.
Undergraduate
Current Ontario High School Applicants
Decisions are made on a rolling basis as grade information is received with most decisions being released within the following admission rounds.
- Round #1 - beginning of December¹
- Round #2 - beginning of March²
- Round #3 - beginning of May
- Round #4 - end of July³
¹A limited number of offers to limited enrollment programs (BPHE, Nursing, OMAH) will be released at this time.
²Offers to limited enrollment programs for applicants who applied by the equal consideration deadline will start being released.
³Offers are made provided room remains in the program applied to.
Current Canadian High School Applicants
- Nipissing makes offers as files become complete.
- Decisions will be released within 21 business days after a file becomes complete.
- An application is considered complete and ready for decision only when all documents required for admission consideration have been received. Required documents may include but are not limited to: high school and/or postsecondary transcripts, WES evaluation (if applicable), English language proficiency scores (if applicable).
- A limited number of offers to limited enrollment programs (Bachelor of Physical and Health Education (BPHE), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) and Bachelor of Arts in History with an Orientation to a Master of Arts in History (OMAH)) will be released starting at the beginning of December. Most offers will be begin to be released at the beginning of March for those that applied by the equal consideration deadline.

Applicants to BScN, BPHE and OMAH
Equal Consideration Applicants: A limited number of offers will be released starting at the beginning of December. Most offers will begin to be released starting at the beginning of March.
All Other Applicants: Qualified applicants who did not apply by the equal consideration deadline will be considered for admission no later than the end of May provided room remains in the program. If the program is full, qualified applicants will be offered a position on the waiting list and considered for admission to an alternate program.

Applicants to RPN to BScN Blended Delivery Program
- January intake: Decisions are released approximately mid December.
- September intake: Decisions are released approximately the end of June.
To check if we have received your documents, please login to WebAdvisor and look under Important Documents – Outstanding/Received under the Prospective Student menu. Login information is provided in your acknowledgement email that you are sent upon receipt of your application. Please allow up to 7 business days for your documents to be reflected on WebAdvisor. Any documents will be dated as received for the date on which they arrive in our office.
BSW Professional Years
- Decisions are released at the beginning of April.
Applicants should check WebAdvisor regularly to track receipt of required documents. Current Nipissing students will use their current login credentials. All Other Applicants

Consecutive Education
- Decisions are released on February 2.
- Those receiving an offer of admission will receive an email followed by a mailed offer package.
- All other decisions will be emailed to applicants using the email provided on your application.
