Established to honour the life of North Bay Normal School alumna, Gloria Margaret Moreau Onyett, the award recognizes her dedication and passion for education. The Gloria Margaret Moreau Onyett Award in Education will be presented annually to two students in the Nipissing University Bachelor of Education program. The award will be split equally between a first year student and a second year student and will be awarded based on academic excellence. Preference will be given to students from the Algoma Region.
