Cartagena Family Latin American Award
Scholarships, Bursaries & AwardsAward Value$1,000.00Established by Nipissing Alumni David Cartagena and Azucena Saucedo Mena, this award is presented to a full-time Nipissing student, enrolled in a degree program, who self-identifies as 1st or 2nd generation immigrant of Latin American descent, which refers to any country in the Caribbean, Central and South America, and Mexico. The recipient must demonstrate service to the community through volunteerism. Academic merit will be considered if more than one candidate qualifies. Application required. -
Catherine L. Peters Indigenous Student Award (Post-Graduate Studies)
Scholarships, Bursaries & AwardsAward Value$2,500.00Presented to a Nipissing student who self-identifies as Indigenous and is graduating from an undergraduate degree program. The recipient must intend on pursuing a post-graduate degree, including graduate studies programs at the Masters level, in the area of education, law, medicine or social work. The recipient must demonstrate financial need. Selected recipient is required to submit proof of acceptance to a post-graduate degree program outlined in the criteria. Application required. -
Shelley Buttimor Memorial Award
Scholarships, Bursaries & AwardsAward Value$400.00Established to honour the life of Shelley Buttimor. Shelley was a Nipissing Alumna graduating from the Bachelor of Education program in 1988. This award recognizes her passion for physical activity and her love of hockey. The award is presented to a full-time female student in the Bachelor of Physical and Health Education program. The recipient must also demonstrate academic achievement. Preference will be given to a student who currently plays hockey (competitively or recreationally). Nipissing First Nation Entrance Scholarship

Recipients must be entering their first year of study in an undergraduate degree program, or the Indigenous Foundations Program, at Nipissing University. College transfer students with less than 18 credits will also be considered. -
Aamil Mohammed Ferhath Award

The recipient must have a minimum of 75% average and a Record of Student Development with the Office of Student Development Services. The Kessler Family Legacy Scholarship
