David was a third year Environmental Science Physical Geography major who co-founded the Environmental Action Committee on campus. This award is presented to an upper year student in an Environmental program, with preference to students in the Environmental Science Physical Geography or Bachelor of Science Environmental Geography programs. The recipient must be actively involved in protecting the natural environment, show strong academic standing, demonstrate financial need and must be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP. -

Schulich Scholarship

PhD in Education (Educational Sustainability) students entering years 3 or 4 of their program
Students may not simultaneously hold any of the following: Chancellor's Award, NU Guaranteed Entrance Scholarship, NU First Robotics Scholarship, President's Scholarship, Upper Year Carl Sanders Award or Schulich Scholarship. Students may only hold one Schulich Scholarship during their studies at Nipissing University.
Recipients must have a minimum 80% average and at least one of the following: demonstrated financial need or demonstrated contributions to community.
Bachelor of Education students entering the first year of the BEd program, complete the Schulich Scholarship application found on the Student Financial Service website. Deadline: Jan 15th.
First year undergraduate students (Concurrent BEd or BPHE), complete a Nipissing University Application for Entrance Awards, available on our website in early March. Deadline: May 1. Consecutive Education students, complete the Schulich Scholarship application found on the Student Financial Service website. Deadline: Jan 15th.

Robert and Louella Surtees Scholarship

Students in the final year of the Concurrent Education program with History or English as a major are also considered.
