OECTA Faculty Award
Scholarships, Bursaries & AwardsAward Value$1000The Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association (OECTA) Award is awarded annually to a graduating teacher from each of Ontario’s faculties of education.
The purpose of the award is to acknowledge the academic excellence of a teacher candidate in one or more of the pre-service Catholic religion courses offered by the faculty. -
Ann Patricia Graham Memorial Award

The recipient is selected by the Schulich School of Education. -
Alan and Joyce Johnson Scholarship
Scholarships, Bursaries & AwardsAward Value$3,125.00Established to honour Alan (1925-1994), the first Dean of the Faculty of Education, and his wife Joyce (1925-2009), an ardent supporter of the local arts community. Two scholarships are presented to Indigenous students graduating from either the Bachelor of Education program, the Indigenous Teacher Education Program (ITEP), the Indigenous Classroom Assistant Diploma Program (ICADP), or the Teacher of Indigenous Language as a Second Language (TILSL). Recipients must intend to go on to teach in an Indigenous community, be in strong academic standing, and demonstrate financial need. -
L'Hibou Award
Scholarships, Bursaries & AwardsAward Value$525.00Presented to the full-time first year student who best combines a high level of academic excellence with an interest and involvement in the affairs of Nipissing University. A minimum of first class honour standing is generally required plus active participation in cultural and/or athletic events that better the life of the University. The award goes to the student who most successfully strives toward excellence and virtue, and in some measure succeeds. -
NUSU Student Life Award
Scholarships, Bursaries & AwardsAward Value$550.00Established in 1993 in commemoration of the first year of Nipissing's status as a university and the University's 25th anniversary. It is presented to a full-time or part-time student who significantly enhanced student life at the University in the preceding academic year. Candidates for nomination cannot include current members of the Student Union. Union Executive or those with council responsibilities; rather the award is intended to recognize any other extra-curricular activities taken on by the nominee. The recipient must demonstrate financial need and be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP. -
Boart Longyear Award in Business
Scholarships, Bursaries & AwardsAward Value$2,500.00Awarded to a returning student pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration degree who is in good academic standing in courses taken in the previous year as a full-time student at Nipissing. The recipient must also demonstrate financial need and be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP. -
Boart Longyear Award in Environmental Geography

The recipient must be in good academic standing based on courses taken in the previous year as a full-time student at Nipissing. The recipient must also demonstrate financial need and be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP. -
CIBC Entrepreneurial Business Award
Scholarships, Bursaries & AwardsAward Value$1,050.00Presented to a full-time student who excelled in the Introduction to Small Business Administration course (ADMN 3306E) OR the Intro to Entrepreneurshop (ADMN 2156). The recipient must demonstrate financial need. Students must be nominated by their Department. The recipient must demonstrate financial need. -
Joshua and Shirley Carfagnini Awards
Scholarships, Bursaries & AwardsAward Value$1,250.00Presented to two full-time students, one male and one female, participating in varsity athletics. Selection is made on the basis of academic merit and financial need. The recipient must also be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP. -
Stephen Carnegie Memorial Award
Scholarships, Bursaries & AwardsAward Value$1,500.00Presented to a full-time, upper year student enrolled in the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program with a minimum average of 75%. Preference is given to students in the accounting stream. The recipient must demonstrate financial need and be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP.
