Position Title: Academic Advising, Student Assistant

Employment Dates: May 4 – September 4, 2026
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
Rate of Pay: $17.60/hour plus Vacation Pay as determined by HR Policy
Job Description: The incumbent will assist with general office duties as well as research/special projects that may be assigned.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Assisting with data entry
- Triaging student inquiries
- Providing general academic advising information and direction to resources
- Aiding students with building their course timetable
- Helping with walk-in traffic (triaging/providing direction to other offices)
- Research projects
- Assist with preparing for and attending events to represent the academic advising office
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must apply and be approved for the NUWORK Program
- First year university completed
- Office experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to be an independent worker and an active team member
- Proficient research skills
- Ability to work on campus
