Dr. Srigley leading conference workshop

Dr.  Susan Srigley, Chair and Professor of Religions and Cultures has been selected to lead a workshop for the Contemplative Care Symposium at the Garrison Institute in New York in November 2018.

Dr. Srigley will draw upon her experience teaching death and dying courses in the department of Religions and Cultures, focusing her workshop on how post-secondary education in the humanities is critically important for cultivating a mindful death awareness as well as compassionate end of life care.

In addition to her university teaching, Dr. Srigley is a palliative care volunteer with the Near North Palliative Care Network.
