POSITION TITLE: Student Ambassador Leader

EMPLOYMENT DATES: September 14, 2026 – April 2, 2027
HOURS OF WORK: 10-15 hours per week (2 positions)
RATE OF PAY: $17.60 ($17.95 after October 1)/hour plus vacation pay in accordance with the ESA
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Student Ambassador Leader (SAL) is responsible for coordinating campus tour activities under the supervision and guidance of the Recruitment Tours and Events Coordinator. They are also responsible for assisting the Recruitment Tours and Events Coordinator with management of the Student Ambassador Volunteer program, coordination of recruitment events on campus, and assisting the Student Recruitment Coordinator with general office duties. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills, work well as a member of a team, be highly organized and motivated, as well as have a passion for Nipissing University that they wish to share with future Lakers.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Coordinating student volunteers
- Attending and helping to organize recruitment events
- Giving campus tours
- General office work (mailing, emailing, returning phone calls etc.)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a current Nipissing University student
- Must apply and be approved for the NUWORK Program (see link below to apply for NUWORK Program)
- Must be available at least 3 days a week from 12 PM - 4 PM for the total of 10 hours per week (additional hours may be available to support tour operations on an as needed basis – up to 15 hours per week)
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to be an independent worker and an active team member
- Ability to work on campus
- Strong enthusiasm for and knowledge of Nipissing University
