The INDG 4706 Indigenous Knowledges/Special Topics class is focused on community engagement and capacity building for this iteration of the course.
Students have created a photo voice project to respond to the following questions that are based on the new Nipissing University strategic plan commitments:
- The strengths and gaps currently existing in the university community with a focus on Indigenous student needs, relationships with Indigenous community and lands
- The vision of what community engagement and relationship building would look like
This slide show represents the students’ interpretations and visions for community engagement here, at Nipissing University. Participants are welcome to drop-in between 12:00 and 2:00 to view the photo presentation and add their ideas and vision.
