We welcome Indigenous students, their families, Elders, youth and children within inclusive and intergenerational programs in the Office of Indigenous Initiatives and in the community.

In the Nipissing dialect of Anishnaabemwin, Enji giigdoyang means "where we come to meet, discuss and talk about things," which is the culture we hope to foster. We enhance the educational experience through a holistic approach to academic, personal, and cultural support. We honour one another's life experiences and invite you to join us for laughter, warm bannock and visits.

We can also show you around the university, help you find resources, and answer questions. We organize many social, cultural and educational events and activities throughout the year, so please follow us on Twitter and Facebook!

Know that our doors are always open in Room F215. We look forward to seeing you!

"Pursuing my studies at Nipissing University was the best decision I ever made. The small class sizes are ideal for getting to know your professors and enrich the classroom experience. Being an Aboriginal Nursing student, I appreciate the effort Nipissing makes to be culturally aware and integrate these values into the classroom as well as in extracurricular activities."

Patty, 4th Year Nursing student
