The Concurrent Education program at our Brantford Campus is offered in partnership with Laurier Brantford. Graduates receive an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Society, Culture & Environment from Laurier Brantford and a Bachelor of Education from Nipissing.
Students are responsible for all associated costs and expenses incurred for application to or while enrolled within any Nursing program. These may include, but are not limited to, the following: BCLS-HCP CPR certification, criminal reference check/vulnerable sector screening clearance, mask-fit testing, required lab/practicum equipment and/or supplies, licensure preparatory requirements, transportation to and from any theoretical and/or practicum course placement, etc.
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) degree is offered in collaboration with Canadore College. Grounded in scientific theory and evidenced-based practice, the program is designed to equip you with both clinical and critical thinking skills. You will gain the professional abilities and capacity for lifelong learning – both of which are necessary to meet the growing needs of today’s health care system. The broad-based curriculum covers physical, emotional, social, spiritual and cultural aspects of health. From the beginning you will work side-by-side with nurses in practice and in our state-of-the-art simulation lab. Opportunities for an international placement are available.
Nipissing University’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) programs offer students a unique, flexible, and collaborative education through its many partnerships as well as 4 unique, educational pathways to obtain a professional nursing degree. As a BScN student, you will gain relevant nursing theory and professional knowledge provided by a university education, along with practical experience in diverse clinical settings.
