Nipissing's Psychology program is flexible and rewarding. Students can choose a more flexible, social science-oriented degree program in Psychology, or select a more structured, scientific and research-focused BSc degree program.
Either way, students will benefit from an extensive list of course offerings, many involving laboratory or practicum components. Our small class sizes work to our student's advantage. From the very start of your Nipissing experience, you will have the opportunity to study and work on research projects with award-winning professors.
Students learn valuable experimental psychology skills in research methodology, including data analysis, statistics and psychological measurement. Courses address topics such as motivation and emotion, personality disorders, clinical assessment, controversies in intelligence testing, developmental psychology, job satisfaction, psychological approaches to the creative arts and neuroanatomy.
These degree programs also provide the necessary foundation in basic psychological processes for later specialization in applied or clinical psychology.
