Areas of Specialization:

​Anthropology of Development, Arctic Anthropology, Landscape and Culture

Research Interests:

​Aboriginal communities and resource development in the Northwest Territories, Aboriginal law, questions of voice in environmental impact assessment, Arctic oil & gas assessment, interplay of local and trans-local conceptions of knowledge, land, entitlements, rights, environment, economic sustainability and political processes. 

Current & Future Research:

​SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellowship (2010-2012) - "After the Hearings: Politics, Development, and Participatory Management in the Sahtu Region, Northwest Territories".
