Scholarships
Provided to support a student's education; awarded on the basis of academic achievement.
Bursaries
Non-repayable financial aid given to students, on the basis of financial need, to assist with the cost of education.
Awards
Awarded to students on a mix of criteria, including extracurricular involvement, academic performance, leadership skills, volunteer work, or other specified experiences.

You may still qualify for some scholarships, bursaries, or awards, as different opportunities have different criteria. Apply anyway to see what you might be eligible for.
Nipissing University assumes liability for the payment of scholarships, bursaries and other awards only to the extent that expected gifts from donors or returns from particular investments of endowed funds are realized. The University reserves the right to make whatever changes circumstances may require, including the amendment of monetary value, selection criteria and the cancellation of particular awards. Information on the current status of any of these may be obtained by contacting the Student Awards and Financial Aid Office or by visiting the Nipissing University website at www.nipissingu.ca/studentfinancialservices.
Students who feel that their individual circumstances are not being fairly considered when determining eligibility for the aforementioned scholarships, bursaries and awards have the right to submit a written appeal explaining their circumstances to the Undergraduate Services and Awards Committee.

Award Value $1,115.00Presented annually to four full-time Nipissing University students on the basis of financial need. The recipients must also be residents of Ontario as defined by OSAP.

Bertrand Wheeler Architecture Inc. College Admission Award
Award Value $550.00Presented annually to two new full-time Nipissing University students who attended an Ontario CAAT (College of Applied Art and Technology) during the previous academic year. Eligible students are considered based on two factors: 1) a minimum overall B+ average from College, and 2) evidence of financial need. The recipient must be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP.

The recipient is selected by the Undergraduate Student Services and Awards Committee and must also be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP.
