Four Ontario universities—Trent University, Laurentian University, Lakehead University, and Nipissing University—have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) focused on enhancing collaboration and resource sharing on research and innovation initiatives to, ultimately, drive economic development in the province.

The Nipissing University Alumni Advisory Board (NUAAB) has elected a new President and Vice-President to lead the board over the next three years. Laurel Muldoon, who served as NUAAB’s Vice-President from 2020 to 2023 will step into the President role while, while Melissa (MacNabb) Larochelle will serve as Vice-President.

This summer, Dr. Richard Wenghofer, Associate Professor of Ancient Studies at Nipissing University and Gabrielle Leboeuf, a Nipissing student studying Ancient Studies, had the unique opportunity to participate in an archeological field school at Emporion Pistiros, an ancient Greek trading settlement in the heart of Thrace (modern Bulgaria) run by Balkan Heritage Field School.
